Of course the way to start off would be to begin with the idea of New Year Resolutions!
New Year Resolutions: 2014
New Year, New Me
Okay, so we have all been hearing the whole "New Year, New Me", and we know it's a bunch of bull. People are going to continue to make the same resolutions as the previous years before and fail to stick with them. 45% of Americans actually make a resolution, but only about 8% stick to their goal(s). Self-improvement, weight, money, and relationship related goals are typically set. To see more statistics related to New Years feel free to click here.
My New Year Resolutions
1. Loose Weight and Work Out
I am hoping to loose about 20 pound which will put me at 120. I not only want to loose weight, but I want to tone up my body and finally begin to build a healthier lifestyle. Of course the occasional cheese burger is going to make an appearance, but I said I wanted to slim down, not starve to death! I did though vow to cut soda out of my diet so adios soft drinks!
2. Swap out Swearing
Oh cheese and crackers! I have had a sailor's mouth like you would not believe. Swearing I am finding, personally, to be extremely unattractive and unprofessional. If I am going to be a teacher, hopefully, down the road, and a mother, the swearing needs to stop. It's tough to figure out where to drag the line as to what "is" and "isn't" considered a swear word, but f*** and s*** is definitely out for good!
Your New Year Resolutions
So what are you all striving for? I would love to hear! Weight loss? More family time? Less technology usage? Or did you decide to pass on the the New Year craze?
I'm going for: Stop using my phone for any purpose when I'm with other people in-person.
ReplyDeleteThat is a great one! I actually planned on eventually talking about something along that topic! I wish you luck!
